The UNR WolfCloud is a system which provides complete administrative access to robust, elastic, on-demand server operating system environments for approved UNR faculty and staff. In addition, students may be sponsored by an advisor for UNR WolfCloud access.

Gaining Access to WolfCloud

For each system requested in the UNR WolfCloud please contact Please include the following information in your email:

  • What is the business need for the server environment?
  • Will this be used for Administrative, Research, or other purposes?
  • Will the system be required on a permanent or temporary basis?

 The request is reviewed by OIT administration and a response of approval with access instructions or denial with a reason for denial is emailed to the requester.

Systems Offered

Standard Configuration

2 CPUs, 4GB of RAM, 50-100GB of local disk per system. Nonstandard configurations may be requested using the WolfCloud access form and may require additional information from the requester

Operating Systems

Windows Server 2012 R2; Ubuntu 16 LTS; CentOS 7


For the standard configuration - $0. Nonstandard configurations are granted within reason and resource availability, while larger requests may result in a per-semester or per-year costing conversation.
