Resetting your NetID Password

Immediately after resetting your NetID Password, update all devices such as home computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc., that have been set up to use your NetID to access University systems. Any device using an expired NetID password will cause your NetID account to be locked out.

You can choose to reset your NetID password one of four ways; either online, by phone, in person, or via live chat. Using any of these methods will require you to verify your identity by providing either an ID number (NSHE or Employee) or photo identification (in person only).

Live Chat

If you are unable to manually change your password, you can go to https://packremote.unr.edu to chat with a technician who will be able to assist you.

You will need to be at a computer when you begin this process, as you will be directed to the Identity Portal to complete the password reset.

Online
